Hey - I do remember my password!

It's been like 2 months...Sorry I wasn't there last night, I had these little puss pockets all over my throat, it hurt to swallow, it hurt to cough, it hurt to eat, drink, talk, it just hurt! Today I am doing much better, it only hurts a little.  By Sunday, I will be golden.  Sorry I didn't get a chance to tell everyone before, but those of you that have already began, I hope you had a good first couple days of school.  I remember when I was in high school...awww those were the days! Cherish the days my friends...they go fast.  Before you know it you will be married with 2 kids, a house payment, and a dog.

A couple of things,

1.  On Friday beginning at 9 pm there is a prayer vigil at the church.  You don't really have to sign up to come, but you should at least try to come and pray for 30 min to an hour.  If you have never really prayed that long, it is not as hard as you think...in fact, its pretty fun.

2.  The Back to School Bash has been moved to sometime in September, I will have an exact date soon.  Brian Moore is going to speak, and there is going to be a "professional" drama team.  We are going to Canyon Creek Baptist, it is like the ultimate greatness in facilities.  Then we are going to Celebration Station after that for putt-putt, batting cages, video games, etc... The cost is $30.  More details to come.

3.  Make plans to come this Wednesday...we are going to start something really cool.

4.  I haven't forgot about the mission trip...have you?  we will need to have a meeting with those who are serious about going soon...more details to come

5.  We are going to start something on Sunday nights, kind of like H.A.B.I.T.S, in September.  However, I don't think we can all meet at my house any more...too small.  I talked to "The River Nile Coffee Shop" to see if they would be willing to open for us to meet there.  Is there any other place you can think of that would hold us all and still give us the freedom to have a good Bible study?

Ok, it wasn't a couple...it was more like a couple of couples (plus 1)  Have a break neck week! -- Toe Jam - Brad

Bitter Sweet

What an emotional week...  2 games in, I am on top of the world...  4 games later I was ready to punt a puppy!

I had a GREAT birthday!

I was soooo pumped about the park ministry...then rain (or it looked like rain)  Then I was upset about that.

I had a wonderful Father's Day!  I have the most wonderful wife and kids.

Camp is approaching quickly!  I get really excited about camp.  I NEED CAMP THIS YEAR.  I still have a lot of work to do.

Then after a phone call today...everything just came into perspective.  Slow down enjoy life.  Enjoy being a teenager, enjoy hanging out with your friends.  In a matter of seconds you life can be changed drastically.

PeeWee Gildon has been in ill health for several years now.  Today, the Dr.'s have indicated that PeeWee's body is just shutting down and there is nothing they can do to reverse it.  There has been no brain activity for a couple of days and he now weighs a little over 90 lbs.  He is not expected to make it much longer.  Please remember Paula, Jennifer, Steven, and Tim today. Whisper a prayer on their behalf.

Lord, if it be Your will, may he go in peace, no more pain, no more suffering
